Mat & Kat's big bike trip
Day 60 Herceg Novi
We're back on the bikes! Its been almost two weeks since Mat had surgery to drain a cyst, and now he's healed and we're ready to continue.
Our host in Dubrovnik took a photo of us smiling outside their house, and then we set off. It was a pretty grueling 8km climb out of Dubrovnik, along a busy road to the airport, but after that it opened out into a wonderful green, quiet, valley. We stopped for lunch #1 on a patch of shady grass next to a cool river. Croatia has been so good to us, and we were sad to say goodbye, but excited to cross another border and into a new country!
Montenegro was a difficult start - our mobile provider charged us €60 EACH for 5MB of data as soon as we got over the border and then we ran into the maximum roaming fee, so it just cut us off from internet altogether. No data meant we couldn't find the accommodation, so Mat had to go into a mobile phone shop and buy two SIM cards so we could get the address and navigate to where we're staying.
