Day 55 Mali Ston

Another day of sightseeing. There's a moderate wind warning with the threat of thunderstorms so we were relieved not to be cycling. We didn't get to use our ferry tickets, instead we took the exciting Pelješac Bridge which was only finished in 2022. There's a tiny sliver of Bosnia Herzegovina which separates Dubrovnik from the rest of Croatia; before the bridge you had to take the ferry or cross the border to travel between the two. We reached Mali Ston, our destination. Ston and Mali Ston are two tiny towns joined by an enormous fortified wall which you can walk along. This plus the castle in Ston are to protect the saltworks (the oldest active ones in Europe). We managed to walk the walls before the rain arrived.
