There's so much wildlife in our accommodation: four tortoises and a bunch of lizards in the flowerbed, Kat found a millipede in her bag, and Mat got several new mozzie bites overnight.
Today was our last day of riding before a longer break in Split. It was already 28C when we set off at 9am so we packed extra water and snacks for the climb. It was hard, hilly and hot with only a handful of houses, no shops or bars. We saw lots of lizards and snakes, and rode through a beautiful almost deserted valley.
The ascent was steady then steep (12%) then steady, before we rolled down 7km to the coast again. Along the coast was pretty and quiet, then we joined a highway that got busier and busier until it was heavy traffic going into Split. We finally arrived at our apartment for the next few nights, which has a little garden.
